TB-500 10mg research vial
TB-500 is a lab-made copy of a short piece of thymosin beta-4; one 10mg vial costs 5,600,000 VND ($220 USD). All four TB-500 papers listed here link out to PubMed, and the VND price above was last checked on 11 October 2026.
What is TB-500?
Thymosin beta-4 is a natural protein, 43 amino acids long, found in most human cells. TB-500 copies one 7 amino acid piece of it, LKKTETQ, with a small chemical group added at one end.
That piece is the part tied to how cells move. Keep the two names apart: thymosin beta-4 is the whole protein, and TB-500 is the short copy.
TB-500 and thymosin beta-4 in print
- Animal study, 2012. A lab built a test to find TB-500 in horse blood and urine, because it was being misused in horse racing.
- Animal study, 2025. A study in animals with burned eye surfaces used the TB-500 sequence as its test compound, and followed repair of the eye surface over time.
- Human trial, 2015. A small phase 2 trial in 9 people with severe dry eye set the whole thymosin beta-4 protein against a placebo, and scored eye signs and discomfort. It used the full protein, not TB-500.
- Review, 2018. A review of animal research on the full thymosin beta-4 protein and new blood vessel growth in the heart.
This page names five papers, from 2012 to 2025: two on the TB-500 sequence itself, two on the full thymosin beta-4 protein (a human trial and a review), and the 2022 lab check of TB-500 products. Most of the research is on the whole thymosin beta-4 protein, mostly in animals, and TB-500 itself has only a few papers. One more thing worth knowing: a 2022 lab check of TB-500 products sold online found the contents did not always match the label.
How to read this
The trap with TB-500 is the name swap. It is easy to read thymosin beta-4 papers as TB-500 papers, but the full protein is 43 amino acids long and TB-500 is a 7 amino acid copy of one piece. On this page, only two studies used the TB-500 sequence itself: a horse racing detection test and an animal eye study. The dry eye trial and the heart review are about the whole protein. Keep that split in mind when you read claims elsewhere.

Questions about TB-500
What has research on TB-500 looked at?
Very little on TB-500 itself: a horse racing test and an animal eye study. Most of the record, including a small dry eye trial, used the full thymosin beta-4 protein.
What are the differences between peptides TB-500 and BPC-157?
They are two different molecules. TB-500 copies a 7 amino acid stretch of thymosin beta-4, a protein found in most of the body's cells, while BPC-157 is a 15 amino acid chain first described from stomach juice. Their research records are separate too.
